Dr Laith Alzubaidi to represent Australia at the Falling Walls Science Summit in Berlin

Aptium is proud to congratulate Dr Laith Alzubaidi, AI Expert and AI Lead Researcher, on winning first place at Falling Walls Lab Brisbane 2026 with his presentation, Breaking the Wall of Wounds.

Hosted by Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Falling Walls Lab is one of the world's leading forums for emerging researchers, providing a platform for PhD candidates and early-career researchers to present innovative ideas with the potential for global impact.

Dr Alzubaidi's award-winning research focuses on using artificial intelligence to support the earlier detection and prevention of diabetic foot disease, helping improve patient outcomes and reduce the risk of serious complications.

As the Brisbane winner, Dr Alzubaidi will now represent Australia at the prestigious Falling Walls Science Summit in Berlin this November, where he will present his research alongside leading innovators from around the world.

"It is a tremendous honour to be awarded 1st place at the Falling Walls Lab Brisbane 2026 with my presentation, Breaking the Wall of Wounds," Dr Alzubaidi said.
